The University of Minnesota Genomics Center is hiring a skilled and experienced bioinformatics analyst to support the cutting-edge genomics services the Genomics Center provides to researchers and clinicians at the University of Minnesota, and to external academic and industry scientists.
The University of Minnesota Genomics Center exists to advance the use of genomics and achieves this mission by acquiring state-of-the-art instrumentation and offering an array of complete services, including sequencing, Next-generation Sequencing, long-read sequencing, expression analysis, genotyping, epigenomics, single-cell genomics, metagenomics, as well as related support services such as nucleic acid extraction and quality control. We strive to keep pace with the ever-broadening world of “omics” technologies and to expand our role at the University and the wider biotech community.
We seek a bioinformatician with broad software and analytical skills to join the University of Minnesota Genomics Center. This new position will include roles in our Operations, Development, and Research groups. The position will require the running, maintaining, and troubleshooting of specialized databases and software necessary to analyze data, as well as involvement in grant application and scientific publishing.
