Job Description

Salary: $80,000 - 115,000 per year Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in RF Engineering, In-Building DAS, RAN, or Small Cell with proficiency in RF Math
  • Extensive knowledge of industry-standard test equipment, such as Spectrum Analyzers, Demodulators, Cable Analyzers, Power Meters, Scanners, and User Equipment
  • Experience in commissioning DAS from OEMs like CommScope, Corning, JMA, ADRF, or similar
  • Proficient in RF Link Budgets, Power Sharing, and Noise Figure Calculations
  • Capable of interpreting blueprints and iBwave design files
  • Strong project management skills, able to handle multiple projects at once
  • Innovative thinker, able to meet deadlines while being the point of contact for CTS and customer issues
  • Calm and professional demeanor under pressure
  • Skilled in troubleshooting distributed antenna systems through logical methods and signal tracing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Competent computer skills, including Bluebeam and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio)
  • Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changes
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively with a positive attitude
  • Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within the region
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the onsite technical implementation and troubleshooting of In-Building distributed antenna systems (DAS) and other managed networks
  • Conduct pre and post RF benchmark data collection and analysis
  • Collaborate with CTS operations teams to ensure networks are constructed to the highest quality standards
  • Execute Continuous Wave (CW) testing, spectrum analysis, system and segment sweep testing, as well as PIM and OTDR testing when needed
  • Maintain DAS systems through fault analysis, interference mitigation, and link balancing
  • Provide support to CTS NOC and address Technical Trouble Tickets to troubleshoot performance issues with In-Building DAS systems, including after-hours work to meet SLAs
  • Assist in DAS troubleshooting during maintenance windows, coordinating with Mobile Network Operators and Neutral Host venues
  • Supervise Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) inspections and third-party testing as necessary
  • Work closely with CTS operations teams and clients to exceed contractual obligations and exceed client expectations
  • Offer technical advice to the Project Manager and Construction Team members to prevent or mitigate potential issues
  • Keep the Regional Director/Operations Manager and customers informed about issues that may affect project completion or budget
  • Utilize small hand tools for minor installation tasks
  • Maintain thorough project documentation using CTS cloud-based file system
  • Generate technical updates, reports, and Method of Procedures (MOPs) for In-Building DAS systems, conducting fieldwork and organizing test measurement files
  • Manage project deliverables for closeout packages
  • Continuously refine practices based on insights gained from the design and implementation process
  • Quickly learn new DAS hardware and software while performing under pressure
