The Night Heron is a wine bar in Hyde Park that will be opening this June, with the same ownership as 57th Street Wines. We will serve a selection of expressive natural wines, batched cocktails, beer, non alcoholic drinks, and a small menu of seasonal food. We will play vinyl records, and there will be no TVs. We aim to be both a wine destination for the whole city and a cozy neighborhood hangout.
We are seeking Servers and Bartenders who are knowledgeable or interested in learning about wine.
While we highly value service experience, we are willing to train an applicant with the right personality, energy, and connection to the community. We also encourage those with back of house experience or interest to apply.
All aspects of service will be shared between all front of house employees, including but not limited to: bussing tables, greeting guests, taking orders, performing wine service, making cocktails, plating and running food, washing and polishing glassware, and restocking the bar. This role includes some duties traditionally considered back of house, such as prepping and plating food.
We are hiring both for full and part time availability. Most shifts are nights and weekends. Before applying, please consider your ability to commute home after midnight.
Must be 21+, able to lift 40 pounds, and climb stairs.
