Job Description

Tsunami Tsolutions is seeking a motivated Scrum Master to join its Application Development organization. We are a small business that supports a number of Aviation and Defense customers. We aim to create a positive collaborative work environment that allows our team to thrive both personally and professionally.

NOTE: This position requires access to technologies and hardware subject to US national Security based export control requirements. All applicants must be US Persons (8 USC 1324b(a)(3)), or otherwise authorized by the U.S. Government. NO Company Sponsorship offered.

About the Role

At Tsunami, we're looking for a Scrum Master who brings structure without rigidity and drives delivery without micromanagement. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to enable predictable, high-quality outcomes while strengthening our agile maturity.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong facilitation skills with sound judgment—knowing when to coach, when to challenge, and when to step back.

What You'll Do

  • Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives) with a focus on outcomes, not just process
  • Enable teams to plan effectively, manage commitments, and deliver consistently
  • Identify and remove impediments, escalating when needed with clear context and solutions
  • Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlog readiness and alignment to priorities
  • Use delivery metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time) to guide continuous improvement—not to enforce performance
  • Improve team effectiveness, collaboration, and accountability over time
  • Foster a psychologically safe environment where teams can raise risks, challenge ideas, and improve together

What You Bring

  • 3–6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a product or engineering environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Scrum and agile principles, with the ability to apply them pragmatically
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams delivering software or digital products
  • Confidence influencing without authority and navigating competing priorities
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar

Preferred: Scrum certification (CSM, PSM) and experience in scaling agile environments

How Success Is Measured

  • Consistent, predictable sprint delivery
  • Reduction in blockers and delivery risks
  • Improved team engagement and collaboration
  • Clear, transparent communication with stakeholders
