Field Service Manager — Lead a Team, Own the Territory, Build Something That Lasts

You have been doing this work long enough to know the difference between a team that is managed and a team that is led. You are the person on the job site that others gravitate toward when something breaks or the plan falls apart. You finish jobs right the first time — not because someone is watching, but because your name is on it.

Our client — a growing Midwest-based liquid supplement company — is looking for exactly that person to step into a Field Service Manager role that is equal parts field leadership, technical execution, and customer trust.

What You Will Be Doing

You will own the day-to-day field service operations across a wide Midwest territory — managing and developing 3–5 technicians, overseeing installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance on liquid supplement tanks, pumps, and plumbing systems, and serving as the first call when something complicated hits the fan.

This is not a desk job. Approximately 75% of your time is in the field alongside your team. You will carry a company vehicle, have the tools you need, and have the authority to make decisions — not just the responsibility.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

• Your technicians are measurably better at their jobs because of you — and they know it.

• Installations and service calls are completed safely, on time, and to spec — without exception.

• Customers in your territory trust our client because they trust you.

• The work order and parts pipeline runs clean. Nothing falls through the cracks.

• You have identified and fixed at least one operational problem that nobody else had time to solve.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of hands-on field service, installation, or maintenance experience — industrial, agricultural, mechanical, or plumbing environments

• Proven track record of leading or supervising field technicians (not just supervising their paperwork)

• Deep working knowledge of pumps, tanks, and plumbing systems — you can diagnose the hard ones

• Proficient welding skills for field repairs and installations

• Valid driver's license, clean record, willingness to travel ~75% across the Midwest

• A customer service instinct — you understand that how a job ends matters as much as whether it gets done

This role is based out of Fort Morgan, CO or Garden City, KS. Physical requirements include climbing ladders, occasional work at heights and in confined spaces, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
