Job Description

As a Roll-Off CDL Driver, you will play a vital role in safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport large containers to disposal, recycling, and customer sites. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate roll-off trucks to transport open-top, roll-top, and compactor containers to designated locations, including disposal sites, transfer stations, recycling facilities, and customer properties.
  • Navigate high-traffic areas, driveways, alleyways, and tight spaces, performing skilled backing maneuvers as needed.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and document findings using standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
  • Follow assigned routes, deliver and pick up containers, ensure proper placement, and maintain cleanliness at all service locations.
  • Utilize a computerized mobile tablet to track route progress, complete stops, and enter relevant notes and landfill information.
  • Report unsafe situations, service issues, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage promptly to Supervisor or Dispatch.
  • Attend and participate in required training sessions, briefings, and meetings.
  • Collaborate with Dispatch and Supervisors to improve route efficiency and share best practices.
  • Assist other drivers as needed to meet customer needs and complete scheduled duties.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement.
  • At least 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical and regular drug screenings.
